Delyth Jewell

Delyth Jewell MS was born in Caerphilly, grew up in Ystrad Mynach, and went to school in Bargoed, before graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in English Language and Literature and a Masters in Celtic Studies. She worked as a researcher and speechwriter for Plaid Cymru MPs in Westminster, winning the Researcher of the Year Award for her work in paving the way for legislation on stalking and domestic violence. She later worked for Citizens’ Advice and Action Aid. In 2019, she was sworn in as the Plaid Cymru Member of the Senedd for South Wales East, becoming her party’s spokesperson on Brexit and External Affairs. She was re-elected in 2021, and is currently her party’s spokesperson on climate change, transport, and energy.
