Lisa Peregrine qualified as a doctor at Cardiff University. In 2013 she was a whistleblower about safety failings and subsequently suffered many years of managerial abuse. She eventually left the Welsh NHS in 2018. She is the spokesperson for Do No Harm Wales, a campaign and support group for other medics abused after speaking up about patient safety. She has since trained with the Ethnic Youth Support Team (EYST) in basic community journalism and is training to be a freelance journalist.
